I found my way to massage therapy through my own healing journey. After years of living with the intense effects of childhood trauma and PTSD, I finally found relief through body-based therapy—that’s when everything I’d worked on in talk therapy began to truly come together. At 43, I enrolled at City Pointe to better understand why therapeutic touch was helping me so deeply—and how I could offer it to others with skill, safety, and integrity. City Pointe gave me exactly what I needed: (1) Clinical knowledge with all the biological and physiological reasons why therapeutic touch is such a powerful modality, (2) Hands-on training & experience, (3) Professional standards, (4) A strong foundation. Combined with my certifications in energy work and life coaching, I now provide trauma-informed care that supports the psyche, soma (body), and spirit, restoring the sensations of felt safety. I work with people healing from trauma, body violation, addiction, and chronic stress—and I also support those who simply want to feel better in their bodies naturally.
