Cosmetology training at City Pointe Beauty Academy includes theory and practical instruction that prepares the student to perform hair, skin, and nail services on the public. Cutting, styling, coloring, permanents, and relaxers are the foundation of the hairdresser’s training. Newly added hair skills include various extension types and textured hair services. They are also trained to care for the skin, makeup, and nails. The Academy offers a 1500-hour training program that meets Missouri state standards and takes at least 12 months to complete, depending on schedule choice and overall attendance. The primary goal of this program is for the graduate to become a knowledgeable and professional cosmetologist with the background and skills to pass state board exams.
COSMETOLOGY (FULL TIME, 30 HRS/WK) - 50 WEEKS, 1500 HOURS
COSMETOLOGY (PART TIME, 20 HRS/WK) - 71 WEEKS, 1500 HOURS
